The Speakeasy, a new restaurant and bar, opens in Somersworth amid COVID-19 pandemic

SOMERSWORTH —Tucked away in downtown Somersworth’s business district is the city’s newest restaurant and bar. The Speakeasy is located in the space beneath Gravy on Main Street. In the early 1900s, the space served as the ticket area and platform for the Somersworth train station, known then only as station No. 319, until passenger lines ceased in 1953. While it has been leased as multiple restaurants over the years, like Iron Horse Pub and Station 319, the building remains filled with historical railroad artifacts and décor.
