Police received a call at 3:30 p.m. March 3 that a horse was running in the middle of the roadway. It was heading south near Bagley Road. A second caller said the brown horse with black mane was last seen on Lewis near Barrett Road. An off-duty officer called in at 3:35 p.m. and said he was across from a Lewis Road home. A friend of the owner was there and said they planned to find the horse. The horse owner called police at 3:39 p.m. and said it returned home. It is unsure whether the steed returned on its own horsepower or had to be reined in.
